Educational backpack routes

In De Alde Feanen, educational backpack routes have been developed for all ages. Children receive a backpack with research materials. Guided by a parent or teacher, they explore the lowland peat marsh and its wildlife through hands-on assignments. The assignments are connected to the learning objectives of the Foundation for Curriculum Development (SLO). The main objectives addressed are 39, 40, and 41. During the marsh route, students also work on objectives 52 and 53.
